Anyone here ever have something cauterized?

A few years ago at a martial arts tournament, I got busted in the nose pretty bad. It didnt break it but the nose bleed so bad i soaked all the gauze in the first aid kit and ended up using CLEAN baby dipers....

Anyways, ever since then my nose will bleed from time to time. Usually its when the weather changes frequently. However, the past 2 nights at work it bled. the first time i was rubbing my eye and barely touched the side of my nose and i guess it hit something inside.

You guys think if i get it cauterized it will end the bleeding? Also, let me know if youve had something cauterized before and what all happened.

all cauterizing is doing is burning the ends of the nevers or vessels to stop something for the time being, its not a permanent fix.

i had my nose cauterized... they have a Qtip like thing it just stings a bit and you get a itchy runny nose for an hour. It work pretty well dont bleed anymore. This was 3 years ago.

 

should work. the face is very vascular. there r high numbers of blood vessels in the face and structures. the nose and the eyes. alot of facial injuries look worse then they are because of this. some people have vessels that sit closer to the surface. the dry weather can irritate them and they bleed.

 

Yea when the weather gets real dry i'll have a nose bleed or when the air conditioner is on i'll get a nose bleed as well.,

 

i had some of my organs cauterized when I went under the knife. I hope it works. :thinking:

 

my brother once put a red-hot spatula on my rugburn. Does that count?

 

doctor should be able to tell you if it will be effective. i was told it wouldn't help me at all. thus i didnt have it done.
