excel help again

yesterday i found a way to select an entire column or row with a combination keystroke
today i cant seem to find it again

you have to be in column A or row 1 for that to work
the way i'm talking about is even easier than that and you can be in any cell
something like ctrl for column and shift for row
soemthing like that
