Default A tire question.

Hi.

I have a question. When there is a bubble in the sidewall of a tire, what is that caused by? Road hazzard or manufacturer defect?

A bubble in the sidewall is an indicator that the chords have seperated within the tire. As the kid said, it's indicative of a severe impact.

Would it be weird to have the bubble on the inner sidewall of a tire...the side that does NOT face the outsides of the car?

When you hit something, the air goes to the weakest part of the tire, the sidewalls and tracks down the weakest part of the sidewalls, sometimes popping out causing a bubble.

I'd check for a bent rim too, just incase.
