Skype is not a VoIP. Skype is a program that allows two people to call on each other based off their IP which is nothing more than conferencing in MSN or Yahoo.
Googletalk is the same thing as MSN except it's main priority is to allow voice conferencing. There is now a googletalk plugin that allows you to use smileys and another plugin that allows webcams.
