They're probably not very big, I'd imagine 2 work off each bank of cylinders and they sequentially spool. Having such a large engine warrants almost mandatory forced induction, as there's so much air needed to fire off 16-cylinders, atmospheric pressure isn't adequete.

I saw one yesterday in my home town...I still think they are ugly, even if they are rediculously "sweet"

nope, Farmington Hills which is about 30 minutes outside Detroit...it had manufacturer plates on it.

Was it just another Bugatti or a Veyron? Bugatti yeah they are probably all over but I was pretty sure there were very very very few Veyrons over here which is why this one in Beverly Hills is such a big deal...........
