Default Proper method of hard boiling an egg

Ok.......let water boil and drop egg in, but for how long? I don't want them being all super dry and crumbly...........I am looking for soft and succulant

try 5 mins...eat....if it's not done, try 10 mins and add 5 min each time until you geti t right

you can spin a hard boiled egg and a .. normal egg, to see which is hard boiled and which isnt

i sually put the egg before the water boils leave it 3 min once the water is boiling.

I was told it was about 2-3 minutes for soft boiled eggs and once you pull it out of the boiling water is to run it under cold water.

I think I'll try that! It seems that 3-5 minutes is the general consensus........so I'll try it 3 and run it under some cold water thanks!

i put in a teaspoon of salt into the boiling water when i boil eggs. i dont remember why. it might be totally useless, but i find that my eggs are easier to peel after this.
