Ive cable at home and one box. I know you can rent more boxes but that almost sounds like you're just renting extra equipment to use service you already have.

Can I just buy an extra box off eGay and plug it in my room? I'm not looking to "steal" cable, just use what I'm already paying for better I guess.

You need a cable box if you want Comcast's digial or PPV services.


You can't eBay one because the cable box's SN needs to be registered with Comcast. If you have the right box, hook it up, it still won't right.

 

Unless it's digital cable, you shouldn't need a "cable box" anymore.

If it's digital cable, you will need to rent another box unless they let you just use anything.

 

I remember taking the blockers off the cable box outside and having the "black box" so we could get the free Skinimax

I remember everyone freaking because they thought it could be traced and you would get busted :chuckles: I hooked a buddy up one time and the cable went out and he got busted because he called the service number :lmfao:
