Too lazy to take a pic so ill just list printer/scanner, speakers, pens, pencils, cactus, sun glasses, dvds, cds, ink cartridges, left over chicken wings, bowl for popcorn i finished, container of orange juice, subwoofer, papers, can of nuts, 2 cups, disks, cellphone, laptop, desktop, monitor keyboard, mouse and me all placed in a disorganized fashion 24/7

Isn't it 16 inches apart except for the first and last one on a wall, where those are then 12 inches apart and 4 inches wide?

Depends. I don't know construction, but whenever I had to look for a stud they're 2-3 feet apart.
