bill murray
I think what people like about Bill Murray is his lack of acting...well not lack of, but more of a "void" of acting. If you add up the amount of time he just has an expressionless face in his scenes, it'll amaze you. If you want an hour and a half long example of this, go see Broken Flowers.

Not at all. I'm basing this statement almost entirely on Broken Flowers, though. His other flicks like Lost in Translation are less like this, but in Broken Flowers, for most of the movie you have no idea how he's feeling. For example. His girlfriend leaves him. He sits there on the couch expressionless. No clue what the character is supposed to be feeling. It just got irritating in that movie.

my comment was directed mostly at his later works...his early stuff isn't similar at all. His comedy style in Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, What about bob, and even SNL is nothing like his "serious" type of acting that he does now.
