Yeah the new Maxima is on my wish list right now. Bang for the buck factor is nice and they drive and handle a lot better than you would expect a car of that size to.

Maybe by mid year I will look into getting one if I can get my finances arranged properly.

In all honesty, I only like the Maxima's performance and interior. The Exterior hasn't grow on me at all. I guess it's just the taste. The TL, on another hand, truly gives off its class.

Please continue to discuss. I just realize that HAN has a lot of intellectuals in here.

Maxima is kinda goofy looking to me. :dunno:

You could also consider the Altima SE-R which is probably faster than the Maxima and not as common, maybe h:

The redisign for 06 on the Maxima has been very kind to it.

The thing you get with the Max that you don't get with the TL is actual size on the interior. There is leg room for both front and rear passengers. I judge this by sitting in both the front and rear seats, being 6'3" not may cars actually fit me in the rear seat unless it is a full size and the Max is one of the few that are cofortable in that aspect.

Add to it the smooth ride, and nearly silent cabin compared to past years and I give it a win. The exterior redesign has been mild this year but it is very noticeable aesthetically and is a real step up for Nissan. I think in a dark grey or black with tinted windows and some nice clean rims and it would be a real slick VIP style car on a budget.

But the Altima is a POS and not considered luxury...entry level luxury maybe but more a family sedan really.

Doing a VIP style front wheel drive car is like making a JDM style Cavalier.
