Tech Help: External HD
My old HD crashed so I had it moved into an external enclosure so that I could access files.
Everything is okay except for the old 'My documents' folder. It says 'access is denied'. Is there anyway to get around this? I need photos.

Try getting a back up program and back up that folder to someplace, just to see if it will work then. Or just mess around with the settings for the folder.

its a permissions issue. Was that harddrive taken out of another pc?
Are you still connecting it to the same pc it came out of?

I can't change the permissions for some reason. The Windows XP on the external HD fried, I can just access every file except for my documents.
The directory is 0 megs in size too?
Sorry to dissapoint you boys
