Worse start of the new year
Woke up around 11am and turned my phone on; got a voicemail. Checked it and it was my sister; she was telling me to call her back, she had something important to tell me. I thought it was something about her pregnancy so i called her right back....well it wasnt about the pregnancy...it was a tad bit worse.....Just found out me moms got Breast Cancer :wtc: Now i feel bad cus finna die soon...I havent been able to talk to her about it completely cus ive been hella busy with the new move and all...but this sux...she got the mamogram and they said it...she has to take all the test to make sure. I hope it isnt cus that just means my moms days are now shorter.
I know if my moms was to ever die id give my dad no more then a month before he dies just because he suffers from grandmom(sp) seizures so the stress of her death would have us burying him shortly after :wtc:

damn sorry to hear jae. 
but your mom could still be fine. even if she is diagnosed with it, there are several solutions to reducing the chance of death and/or severe sickness, all the while still being able to maintain the same lifestyle for the most part.
hope it turns out better and well for your mom soon.

Choose hope, jae. She's going to need it, and you're going to need it. My friend's mom has lived through three completely different types of cancer. Anything is possible.

They've made some huge improvements in the past 10 years. That's not to discount the situation, Jae, but to give you hope. I was talking to my parent's friend who is an Oncologist at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and a professor at UB and she really was enthusiastic about the way things are progressing in terms of research and treatment. You're also very fortunate to be in an area where good doctors and treatment are readily available.

those tests arent too accurate either. my mom's had 2 cancer scares from them.. and they've turned out nothing. gone as far as the operating table.
