i dont get it :dunno:

to me its just another day.... i mean thanks for the day off work and all.... but to some people its the biggest day of the year and i guess that's what i dont get....

so what's your take on it?

It represents a new start for a lot of people. For me.. I don't see the need to party on it or anything.. I just like to take a moment and reflect.. and see how I've changed/improved from this time last year.

thats kinda cool.... i can see what you mean about the new start unfortunately most people forget their resolutions after the first week :chuckles:


Holly and I are using it as an excuse to go out for dinner .... but i presume we will be asleep before midnight. dont get me wrong, if we got invited to a party, we'd go.... but we arent going to stay up by ourselves or anything....

Yeah.. I gave up on the resolution thing a long time ago. I find I'm more prompted to stick to something if it's something I deffinatly want for myself... not just cause it's Jan 1st.

Enjoy your dinner. My mom and I went out for Chinese on Christmas.

Chinese on Christmas would be a nice change of pace but oddly enough, any Chinese rest. i drove past on Christmas was closed :thinking: i went past 3 i think.... all were dark

I don't see why people go nuts but a little party is cool. That's just more my style though.

New Years resolutions are a great idea though in my opinion. This last year I quit smoking, saved a shetload and moved up one rank in the Army's food chain.
