Yeah I'm thinking you can work it out so she pays a portion, although half does seem like a little less than I would want.

well she isn't 16...she is like 25 or some shit like that so there is no going to her parents.

The thing that shocked me when she first said it was with my first car I was painting this guys house and all the sudden the wife comes out and says that she kinda bumped my car. So being that it was an 89 I was like...eh thats no biggie if you just bumped it. I get there and my passenger door is all smashed, and my rear quarter panel is butchered...oi so that is what was going through my head when she appeared at the door and said that.

I am going to take it to a body shop and see what the quote is...maybe ill pay 25% but its not my fault at all so I shouldn't in theory have to pay a dime, and frankly...I can't afford something like that right now, and probably neither can she so it would wait a bit to fix it.

But I do give her props for owning up to what she did.

Probably looking at $200-$300 to fix it. They'd most likely just scuff, fill, prime and blend that part of the bumper if they can match the color correctly.

i'd get a quote and have her pay half of what they quote you since it isn't to bad...take the money and buy a car part and clean up the scratch the best you can

A lot of guys are being too soft. I'd make her insurance pay for it all.
