Default miles per gallon in the 240?

i'm seeing some odd ass fluctuations in mileage, like good freeway amount is like 26 plus, but yesterday i did some mountain driving (pretty mild nothing crazy...seriously) and i filled up just to see what it came out to, and it was like 21 mpg or so....

in the integ, no matter how hard i drive or how mild i drive it still comes out to be around 26-27 mpg.

i dont know, i was just wondering what you guys see with your parents/friends etc cars' that arent honda/acura's.

In the Miata I get 28-29 on the highway when I drive between here and Chicago. When I drive around here in Madison there's not much highway driving to be done so I see more like 23-24, or if I have been driving particularly aggressive for a good portion of that gas tank it'll dip to like 21-22.

wow.. that is surpringly low for a 1.8L in such a light car.

in my integra, at worst i'll get like 28 (with more city than usual for me). usually it's 30+ (majority highway).

It's mostly because of the short gearing. That and I have a bit of a heavy foot, and such a chuckable car tends to encourage aggressive driving.

the last two tanks i averaged 25 mpg or so, filling up 12-12.5 gallons at 300 miles.

i once filled up with 15 gallons...but i didnt have an accurate trip meter to tell the difference...

240s don't get very good gas mileage. small bore/long stroke engine blocks aren't good for gas mileage.
