im gonna fly out there via southwest for like 118 roundtrip from sac. i want to stay there like from thurs-sun and just check the city out. id like to know where is a good place to stay thats near most attractions. i think i could just use public transportation from the hotel so where i stay is vital since i kinda dont want to rent a car. i need advice from you san diego haners

i recommend staying near the gaslamp district downtown. that way you can check out the nightlife and get hammered without needing a taxi.

i had a gf who lived in la jolla so i went to SD pretty often h:

what's your target price per night? i stayed at the radisson right off the downtown exit for $80/night before, but you'll need a taxi.

I highly recommend staying at the Deekotine hostel. A++++ service, would stay again. You actually get the courtesy of a reacharound :eek5:

Every hotel in SD is expensive, even the ones just outside of downtown. You're SOL if you think it's gonna be cheap. But, as Rich said, definitely check out downtown and gaslamp. I'd also check out Mission Beach and Pacific Beach...PB has a ton of bars and a cool nightlife.
