this country needs more roundabouts
a 10 minute drive took 40 minutes because of christmas traffic. and i almost got hit twice, what the hell!
i lived in england for two years and it was amazing how effective a roundabout is on traffic. when i moved stateside, i was kinda weirded out with pulling out into intersections because so many people run the lights. in reno anyways the chances of someone running a light is like 50%.
any who..traffic sucks
merry f'in christmas , yo:drunk:

there are give ways, same as a yeild.
you have to "give way" to the right because thats the direction the traffic is coming.
big roundabouts do have stop lights

Americans don't know what to do when they see a roundabout. They made a roundabout here in milwaukee near the potowatami[sp] casino. At first, they were hailing it as some sort of supersafe intersection that will really help traffic and shit. It turned into a disaster and became one of the 5 most dangerous intersections in the city wned:

There's a roundabout on the way to my gf's cousin's house in the hills around here. The first time I used it, I missed the exit street and circled around twice. h: The car following me did the same. :chuckles:
But yes, I don't think Americans are prepared to handle roundabouts since they don't encounter them often enough.
