i dunno, checking the weather, looks like its outrageously windy up there. I've got monday and friday off next week, so I'll just rock it twice. Maybe I can hit up berthoud pass for the 7-miler

yeah, but a massive pack of out-of-state holiday visitors can. I can't fukking stand crowds/lines/etc. Avalance warning is at "very high" today on berthoud too.

 

The crowds I understand and they really suck the life out of a day of riding, I can't stand the fucking gapers.

Avalanche? Hell man that just means good snow on the rest of the mountain. Don't go back country and it should be all good, besides if it's an avalanche on a ski mountain just remember point and shoot and keep the nose up if it starts catching up to you.

 

berthoud is backcountry... that would be my only crowdless option. And I can't go backcountry without a buddy. Its already noon, I'm just going to go to the gym and plan on going twice next week. h:

Oh you meant Berthoud Pass (if I remember right) I thought there was a ski area by the same name h:

 

there used to be a couple lifts on berthoud pass, but they are long since abandoned. Yeah, berthoud pass has some sexy back country and an excelent hitch-hiker charilift. If you hike a little, you can actually ride 7 miles top to bottom, hop in the back of somebodys truck and get in 4 or 5 solid runs per day. Aside from loveland pass, its the only non-hiking backcountry of any merit in the area.
