what does this mean?
okay since the cold weather has been here since october my boost gauge has been giving me mixed readings. used to read 9psi full boost when it was warm, and even when it was chilly it would read properly. now with the full onset of winter, my gauge is acting crazy. however, sometimes it feels like my turbo isn't even boosting.
when i shift, vacuum should be 20 or 22, but now the needle slams 30 mmHg then when i HEAR the turbo spooling it will reach around 0. tonight, the needle crept into the psi scale at 3psi. i don't know what the hell is going on.

you need new muffler bearings and some turbo belts.
edit: on a more serious note...can you get ahold of a different boost or vaccuum gauge and test it independently...maybe your boost gauge is fawked up....also I know your turbo was sounding a little less than full on when we were hangin out...could you have finally fried it? Also doesnt your ECU crank down the boost when it is super cold out..could it crank it down more and more as it gets colder?
