selling my civic, help me out guys
im selling my 2001 Civic EX, and ive had it for sale for three weeks now, and ive gotten just one call from a lady who cant make up her mind. i thought $9600 was a good start price, but maybe it's too high ?
any ideas for a good start price ? what i should expect to get ? i dont wanna screw myself and get too little, since i still owe money on the car.
thanks guys,
it's got typical EX stuff, p-locks, p-windows, p-moonroof, ABS, keyless entry, trunk light, sohc vtec, basically every option except fog lights and alloys. it's in great condition, glossy paint, super clean inside, runs like new.

kbb.com lists it at $8975, i figured listed it at $9600 would get calls and people would offer less.
put it in the news: www.bargainnews.com
did you present OBO in the ads? many people wont call if you dont say you will take a best offer.
whent hey call act like you are in no need to sell, and that you do have other people looking at the car.

awesome, thanks !
selling anything, you want it to be in prime marketing condition... which includes price. Advertising it for higher than its worth expecting lowballers isn't the best way to sell. Figure out what is the least amount of money you're honestly willing to take for it (perhaps how much you owe on it), throw a few hundred on that, and you'll get plenty of calls. By advertising it at a high price, you're really just turning away potential buyers.
