Thanks for the article. I was wondering what the strike was all about, as CNN did a piss poor job of telling me.

I think Transit's proposal sounds reasonable. My only question would be is there a grandfather clause for raising the retirement age? i.e. if you are 53 and planned on retiring in 2 years with a full pension, as you had expected to for the last 30 years on the job, would you still be allowed to? Or would you have to work another 9 years to get your pension?

edit: after a closer reading I realized it said for new employees only. h: Go back to work you lazy schmucks!

fawk this union shit. those greedy ass bastards and lazy ass blue collar workers. i do mad shit thats not in my job description and dont half the compensation they get. i mean shit drive a train and get 50k/yr, drive a bus get 63k/yr. how hard it to learn something, must you do everything that you signed up for.
