From: Syracuse, NY... again.
Default Tookie was the 12th person executed...

in California since the death penalty was reinstated in 1977.

Can someone enlighten me... what takes so long to strap these murdering mofo's to the chair, or fill up a syringe? Don't start on me about taking a life and all that... because as far as I'm concerned you pretty much lose that right once you illegally take one yourself.

With all these people on death row, why does it take so long?

Its a good thing. There are convinctions that are overturned all the time for people on death row, who prove their innocence with DNA tests and such. I'm not disagreeing with the death penalty, I just think its better this way. plus they can't use the death penalty as a way to avoid jail.

i'm not sure i agree with the death penalty, but i am amused at the support this "tookie" got. the amount of sympathy that was garnered. the total lack of coverage on his victims and how he murdered them..

instead, all day long i heard about how he was reformed, about these children's books that he wrote - which apparently is not entirely true. and about the incredible amount of support he's getting..

it's laughable.

and for those of you that have been convinced by the media to feel sympathic towards "tookie", if you can stomach it, perhaps you should take a look at his victims:

NOTE: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC/DISTURBING!

again, i don't know if i agree with the death penalty. but this guy did deserve punishment, whatever that may be. and he is definitely NOT what the media has portrayed him to be. it's a farce. i really am blown away at how the media and "tookie's" supporters have represented this guy...

ok everybody makes mistakes and what he did was no where near ok. but i think everyone deserves a second chance. he wasnt going to get out he would have just lived in the prison for the rest of his life. jusr remember he is only human he made a stupid decision and now he has tried to help other people get out of that life style!

you realize that he never apologized or expressed any kind of regret for those murders, right?
