i didnt wear it for a while and some of my teeth have moved noticeably.... once they move far enough, you wont be able to fit your retainer back on.

happened already, he said it was too tight and loosened it, ever since it's been getting worse and worse because my wearing it at night isnt counteracting my not wearing it at day

i had my retainer a month before i spit it out while sleeping.. and it got all messed up. its been.. ? what around 6 years since then.. and my teeth have shifted.. but not that bad.

i was actually looking into invisalign to straighten up my teeth again.. im still looking into it. id rock the retainer for as long as you can though..

ive started to wear it again nightly, and although they havent gotten any better... its not getting worse.

you have to decide if not wearing it > the cost/time/effort of possibly getting braces again.
