Tequila :yumyum:
This thread was inspired by this:
1800 is pretty good for an inexpensive tequila.
Cuervo > Sauza (especially Jose Cuervo 1800)
Jose Cuervo 1800 reposado is the baseline tequila for me. I wont by anything lower than that. Sauza I never buy because I have yet to have any of their tequila that didn't taste like ass (other than their Tres Generaciones label). I have heard good things about Sauza Hornitos but the rest of the Sauza brand is so bad I still haven't tried it.
Cabo Wabo > Don Julio > Herradura > Patron > Tres Generaciones > El Jimador > Gran Centenario > Jose Cuervo Tradicional > Jose Cuervo 1800 Anejo > Jose Cuervo 1800 reposado > Jose Cuervo (regular) > dog shit > Sauza
That's my order. There are some exceptions to the rule...especially in the higher brands. For example Herradura Seleccion Suprema is my favorite tequila even tho Herradura is my third favorite tequila brand (but I haven't had Don Julio REAL, that could surpass Herradura Seleccion Suprema).
Just my opinion. Discuss.

Dude, I practically live in North Mexico. Over the years I realized they all agree Jose Cuervo is gringo shit and there's alot better brands out there.
Try Casadores sometime, you won't be disappointed.

I wont argue with you that regular Jose Cuervo is shit. Or even that 1800 is pretty low on the scale of good tequila's. But for a $25 bottle of tequila I don't know of anything better. So I basically don't agree with your comment that 1800 is terrible. I think it is good for low end tequila.
I'll look into Casadores. It might be hard to find up in Maryland. You could always send me a bottle and I could pay you for it

I have a bottle of Hornitos still... working on it.
It's not top shelf, but its pretty good. Of course I am no afficionado like you, but I like it.
