the Philips stuff at Wal-Mart isn't too shabby either. Monster is way too expensive me.

I got some Philips and RCA brand cables from walmart... they were like gold plated connectors and double or tripple shielded and stuff. Was like $10-15 for 6ft for a component cable for video. Very good quality, snug fit and I can't blame any quality issues on those cables, they only do a great job.

Just buy some nice $30 cables. If you do go with Monster cables be sure to tie them off to the shelving or something. They are quiet heavier on the ends and plugging them into any electronic puts uneeded stress on the inputs.

I've seen a $8,000 NAD amplifier in a shop for repairs because someone used Monster Cables and didn't tie them off.

Would that be a reason why a TV would suddenly start flickering? I have a sony tv with monster component cables for my PS2 and just recently the left side of my tv starts to flicker every now and then. I thought it was just a loose cable tv connection, but it also happens when I play games or watch DVD's. h:
