It's sort of like a Frankenstein creation of a Nikon N80 film SLR, and then a bunch of Fuji digital parts added to it.

They use Nikon lenses and Nikon flashes and Nikon accessories, but the image sensor, image processor and everything related to the digital side of things is Fuji. The photographic (i.e. non-digital) stuff is all Nikon.
thanks to everyone who helped me out and gave me suggestions (even if I didn't get the camera you suggested). I really don't know much about cameras and it made me feel a lot better about my purchse
I saw this one yesterday at Best Buy. It's a lot smaller then I thought it would be. I'm getting it.....
