how soon do u need it to be shipped...i havent gotten a chance to look up my contact....but I got my car shipped from Austin, Texas to DC for $520....this was in June 2005

anytime u get a car shipped...its good to keep this in mind....most of the companies that you look up online or talk to dont have the trucks that will do the actual shipping...they contract it out to someone ..and in doing so make about $100-120 bucks....during the summer my brother got his car shipped from Austin, Texas to Hartford, CT for about $800 by talking to the company (May 2005)...Next time when I had to get my car shipped I talked to the driver guy himself, he gave me the name of the company that actually OWNS the trucks and hence, saved the middleman cost..

With the quote that you got ($720), seems like its open carrier...is it door to door or terminal to terminal
(fyi door to door is well...door to door ..terminal to terminal is like the regional area where u drive the car to and they pick it up from there (kinda like their headquarters...in one sense))

in ur case the terminal is about 35 miles in Linden, NJ and 20 miles from Plano in Mesquite, Tx
The cheapest I found online was about $595 Terminal to Terminal...Jan 5, 2006 ship date...as an estimate

I ll try to post the contact information of that guy/company ASAP

Sammy has the right idea.

Go to a truck stop and find a carrier. Ask the driver for info about websites that link up LTL between drivers/owner-operators and people needing something shipped or brokers.
