Stanley "Tookie" Williams 11 days
Clemency was denied and it looks like he goes to the chamber in 11 days unless the governor steps in

Here is a man who flipped his life upside down. He has done more good for society than a lot of people EVER will. But then again, he also done things that he shouldnt have done. Is the justice system suppose to forgive? :dunno:
My gf actually went to the rally a few weeks ago and stood next to Snoop Dogg :uhhok:

I understand the mixed emotions involved, he did some horrible things in his life and was sentenced to death. The thing is during his sentence he has worked hard to try to stop what he started by educating the children before they make that choice. I wish he had been writing before I made that choice myself, I might have chosen differently.
I think commuting his sentence to a life sentence with no parole would be a fair trade off.

Snoop wouldnt be thinking all this had his mother been one of the people murdered by tookie. I think its bullshit. I dont care HOW MUCH someone changed. The act of murder was commited. PERIOD. Whats done is done. There is no turning back time.

Have you ever done something wrong or illegal (don't lie and say no)? If your previous comment were true then if you have stolen once you will always be a thief and so on.
I am not saying to let the man out of prison because he is guilty, but he has also changed his life and the lives of others in such a way that makes it seem fitting to commute the sentence.

Oh Ive done some illegal things...and some Ive been caught for. I deserved every bit of the punishment. But mine wasnt killing 4 people. I would understand that if I did, there is an equal and opposite reaction to that...which is death.
I guess I see it as an eye for an eye. Again, I dont care how people have changed. Thats great and all but he killed 4 people. Do you think he'd be the same peron he is today had he not been caught? Its a skeptical question, but Id bet against it. Again, regardless of 'what if's', the man murdered people and given the cirumstances, he was sentenced to die for the acts that he committed. I cant say that I feel bad for the man. You reap what you sew, my friend.
