Odd movie behavior on computer
I have these 2 movies, both over one hour long. when i aquired them, i would open them to play and it would only show the movie as just a few minutes long. if i were to move the advance slider it would show a later part of the movie that i wouldnt catch if i just let it play out. now for a few days it would play the movie in its entirety, but not anymore.
any idea what causes this to happen and how i can remedy it? btw, video card driver/software have been updated very recently

the index on the file is shot to all shit it sounds like. i believe there are programs that can strip it and redo it.
i believe the DUB series (either virtualdub or nandub) should be able to do this

what player are you using? you may need to install ffdshow depending on what player you're using.
.vob files tend to have these kinds of problems because of the way they are multiplexed (compared to avi files)

that's the newest official release from ffdshow. it works fine for me. assuming that avi files are playing fine on your computer, i would install that and select it to decompress mpeg1, mpeg2, and vob files. that should fix the problem.
