h: I changed a motor mount today. A few weeks ago a shop found it was broken. They said it looks like its been like that for a long time, about a year...

Sorry for the unclear pictures in a few of them..

I had fun replacing it though. I got to use my neighbors Snap-on torque wrench. Holy crap that was nice.

might want to replace your other mounts now, if that one was broken for a while it put more stress on the other mounts when it failed.

my GSR motor somehow broke one of the bottom engine stiffeners - i was amazed because they are thick and solid.

The rubber is fine on the others. I already checked.

Interesting fact:
Midas waned 360 to replace that mount and the other front one, including price of labor and parts
I bought the part for $10.85.
Installed it in about 45 minutes at the very most.
Midas said it would take about 2 hours.
I can't find the other front mount at a junk yard but the one I have looks fine. Rubber is in decent condition.

Just because the rubber looks good doesn't mean it's not compromised, my 89 jeep cherokee mounts looked fine upon visual inspection but were totally ruined when I uninstalled them for replacement. The cost of the part is worth the peace of mind, but your choice.
