Default Which RAM to get?

I want to do my dad a favor and buy RAM for this computer before I break it. However, I don't know what RAM to get. My computer uses PC3400(?, maybe 3200) but I don't know what this HP Pavilion takes. Does it matter?

Yes it does matter. Some older computers cannot use PC3400. I would be your dad's computer uses 2700.

Lazy Lawrence I just did a quick search and the 1st link is this:

http://www.betterram.com/catsearch.php?model_id=4420

NOTES: This system takes PC133 memory but it will only operate at PC100 speed. So it looks like you.
So it looks like you would be wasting your money.
