maybe for non Christians but definitely not for Christians. Christmas is a Religious Holiday and Thanksgiving is a National Holiday.

Hmm I wonder why Christmas, aka the celebration of the Birth of Christ would be smaller for non Christians :chuckles:

Yeah it has become commercialized but do you really think it is that big a deal for someone who is of a different religion?

i agree i am a non chritian and we celebrate it. What i am trying to get is... if you would only be able to meet with family on Xmas OR Thankgiving which would you choose?

what do you do to celebrate it?

Is it a time of gathering for you and your family? If so that's cool. That is part of what Christmas is about.

Oh and I'd choose Christmas. Much more special time for me and my family since there is the whole religious aspect involved.

well for us it is. and we are muslim maybe for Jew its diferent but i would guess it has to do with the fact the hanukkah is around same time

You are celebrating the commercialized part of it. Do you think you would be celebrating if it was just all about the Birth of Christ who is not important to the Muslim Faith?
