Default mmm....surround

Picked up a surround sound system today and got it set up, what a pain in the ass that was, but it was totally worth it

Watching Polar Express right now to test it out and getting ready to throw in The Matrix as soon as that is over. I can't believe I wited this long to get one, it makes it so much more enjoyable to watch movies.

Next on the list is a projector and a screen.

Yamaha YHT-360

I know it's a "theatre in a box" system but it sounds awesome in my house and is just the right amount of sound for me.

how much was it? What are the specs?

I still have to hang my front speakers for optimal positioning but even without that done, I love my setup.

Yeah I still need to hang my fronts and get stands for the rears but it is night and day difference.

I paid $370 for it but looking online I see it is available for anywhere from $399 down to $317, but I like to see it in person and get it the day I pay for it so the extra was worth it to me.

Wow that is a good price. I kinda went nuts on my system but atleast I know that it is something that I will put to good use for years and years to come so It was worth it.

Yeah my last sound system cost me about $150 nearly 9 years ago and it is a pretty hokey setup. I always figured if it works then why replace it since I really don't watch that much TV.

I now see the error of my ways and will spend many more hours in front of the tv :chuckles:

The cheapest I've seen was 199 and it was a special here at Fry's. Normall price was 399.

Good choice. Yamaha is decent.
