Default stop it you f$#%$ telemarketers!!!

heres the deal. i have a home phone. i have it because i want dsl, nothing else. i dont even remember the phone number with looking it up in my cell phone. nobody else knows the number except the gf and shes the only one that calls it so i don't waste my cell phone minutes. i signed up on the gov't website to stop telemarketers but i still get them. does telezapper etc. work? any ideas?

Ummm...now that you have DSL cancel your landline. Once it is up and running you don't need to maintain the number any longer

I ran my DSL for 2 years with no land line attached to the jack.

i guess that would depend on the TelCo. Here, where i worked clients tried doing that but DSL stopped working. so they had to pay reconnection fee. THat was a year ago, now we offer DSL service without a phone line...
