Default Windows XP question - transfering old to new.

I want to reinstall Windows because it's been acting up and time to do a fresh install.

When I use the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard do I want to transfer just my settings? What about my email and addresses? How do I back that up?

I clicked on both files and settings and said I would need about 6500mb (6GB)?!? Any suggestions?

you should be able to Export your messages and acct info from the email client itself.
