I think that Americans have lost it. When people are asked "Would you fight for your country?" Most people say "Hell no I wouldent want to die...".
I just think thats fukking lame. Ungrateful for what others have fought/died for.

it's funny that you think that...because IMO Americans have too much patriotism.

 

There was a rush of peer-pressure patriotism last year, which Bush is trying to revive so that he can bomb Iraq, but other than that, Americans are hypocritical couch potatos.

 

Patriotism is lost in most Americans.. I Love my country and would die for it in a heartbeat.... when is the last time any of you actually thanked somebody in the Service for wht they have done and/or will do? it is not a hard thign to do but is a great way to show your patriotism and raise the spirits of our soldiers and let them knwo that what they do is appreciated...

It bothers me that right after 9/11 everyone suddenly got really patriotic. It all felt like really fake patriotism to me and everyone just seemed to be jumping on the bandwagon.

 

i totally agree. these bandwagon patriots sicken me. i'm in the military and it's just pathetic how all of a sudden all these people are patriotic, but a day before 9/11/01 they would've just assume spit on you than look at you just because you're in the military.
