if you're not a gamer then you wont like the G15. One thing I want to point out is the split raised keyboards, as it turns out is not very ergonomic.

And to everyone else who asked the price... It ran me $1160 for the computer and monitor, shipped, and after tax. After the ram return and upgrade, the real final total would be $1200.

Monitor was $279 before tax and shipping. About $320 after.

It's huge cause the wristwrest is big and the G keys make the left side about 4 inches bigger... but I like it Just wont fit on many standard keyboard trays.

I type like 80 wpm on a standard keyboard but that involves lots of crossing over from one side to another. My right hand does a lot more of the work than my left. For some reason I only really type with a couple of fingers on my left hand and all of the fingers on my right so the right usually covers about 3/4 of the keyboard and the left is only doing a little bit of the work. For me then, the split keyboard really doesn't work so well because it's split in a place where keys on the left I generally will be hitting with my right hand instead. Although I guess I could use one of those split dealies if I wanted to train my left hand to pick up more of the work or something.

It's freakin fast. I get at least 60 fps in F.E.A.R. at 1024x768, all options turned to max except for AA (2x), AF(2x) and soft shadows off. In intese firefights with like 5 enemies at once, I've seen it dip to 40 h:

I can't wait to get the new RAM into it as well

But I'm not leaving the mac camp for good... I'm just waiting for the intel powerbooks, then I'll buy a new mac

The only thing that worries me is that I have rounded IDE cables, and the DVD-R drive is on a 24" cable, both of which conditions violate ATA spec. While they're twisted pair (each data is twisted with a grounded cable) and shielded, I dunno if I'll see corruption or not
