You are actually very correct with this statement.

AutoCAD is much better also along the lines of API development. At my last job that is what we did. Pretty cool technology.

We had the ability to take parts, say performance parts for an engine, and put them all together, show you how everything fit, the torque specs for all the bolts, how much hp the setup would have and such

I have access to Pro-E but no real experience.
I used to have it on my home PC.
