I'm assuming that you updated your slysoft anydvd and you're encoding it straight from the dvd. If you didn't remove the riplock on your dvd drive, remove it and you can cut your encoding time waaay down. What kind of drive do you have?
All this is for creating a backup of your originals in case anything happens to them, right

as for my drive, whatever came in my hp a450n is what i have
your drive is a rebadged nec 1100 (it's really, really old). the rpc1 guys have a hacked firmware. but, your drive is going to burn really really slow anyways.
