Peace Corps?
I'm graduating college in 2006 with a degree in Russian (I speak it okay), and I'm thinking about the Peace Corps option. I could go somewhere in Eastern Europe and teach English, or maybe something about environmental protection. Anyone have anything to say about this?
My main holdup: leaving my car behind! As anyone on the Prelude boards knows, I make owning my car a small hobby. It's unmodified, but I race it and I maintain my driving skill. It would kill me to put it in storage for two years. But maybe I'm just being too attached? I figured you guys would understand.
Discuss.

Relevance is irrelevant
I think if your really into then yeah. I'm sure the travel would be a unique experience and if it'll help on your career path, hey, more power to ya.
It's definitely hard, for me, being away from my car and bike and all the other things I love about living in America, but we all make sacrifices. It's just going to be that much better when I get home though. The US will seem like paradise.

I think it's a great idea, you can't beat the opportunity right now. You will get to see the country as close to being a native as you can get, not the touristy face that most travellers see.
Just store your car properly for the time you are gone and you'll appreciate it all the more when you get back.

Do it. My buddy did the peace corp thing, ended up on some tropical island. When you are old, you will never wonder about thing s you did, only the things you did not do.
