That was AMAZING!!! I just got back from a Jazz concert at my school. My schools jazz band played 6 songs:
Boomerang
And That's That
August Day Song(Hella cool)
Cherry Point
Blue Jumpin' at the Woodside (Really Really fast)
Then there was interission. After that the band came back out with Kenny Garrett. They played 7 more songs full of solos:
Softly, as in a Morning Sunrise
Sing a Song of Song
Lover Man
Sugar
Doc Tone's Short Speech
Chief Blackwater
Caravan
That was the end. Everyone was going wild so they played another song. Cherokee Holy crap!! Holy......Crap....That was so cool. He cut the entire band off and played a solo. It lasted at least 5 minutes!! I looked around and so many people were grooving and really getting into it.

That was the best thing I have seen in soooo long!! The noise was deafening after his solo!

Now I have to go find some of his albums.
