15" vs 16"
I have 15" rota slipstreams w/ 195/55 and someone is willing to trade me for 16" slipstreams with 205/45. I go to the track sometimes and in the future im going to want to get into autox a little. I'm just wondering if the 16's will slow me down at the track and how my everyday driving will be with a smaller profile tire like a 205/45 or the pros and cons to going with a bigger rim. Thanks

yes i should trade or yes it will slow me down since its a larger rim. i figured since the profile of the tire is smaller it would sort of equal out the size of the 15" rim with 195/55's

My short answer was to whether it would slow you down.

But you gain resistance. Yes you pick up on the initial launch but after that point it workss against you.

Didn't catch the autox part of it all...so yeah for autox it would be a fair trade off I guess...for drag it would be a compromise.
