Default New toys

Got a couple new toys today

First up is the Belkin wireless transmitter for the MP3 player. Finally I can get rid of the crappy sound of the tape adapter. Works great, in fact I am playing from my comp into my home stereo right now

Then I also grabbed a Motorola Bluetooth headset. This one I have been putting off for a while but since I was in the store and it was a fair price I figured I better get one. I definitley like it a lot better than the old wired setup I had.

Is that the new Belkin FM transmitter? I had the older one in my car for ipod/pda and it was horrible. Too much static.

YEah I am listening to it now and have it set to 89.0 and it seems pretty clear to me. Of course there is always going to be a slight amount of noise on a broadcast like this but I haven't noticed it in anything yet.

Ah, maybe it's a car thing. More interference.

Still a great tool.

Oh btw there is a simple "hack" to extend the range of the transmitter as far as 30' or so. Gotta crack it open (warranty void ) and solder a length of wire to it which acts as an extended antannae.

I am thinking about doing it and seeing just how far you could get it to broadcast :rick:
