Default Which brand for PC RAM?

I need some recommendations on which brand I should go for for memory.

I'm looking to add another 512MB (PC3200) ram to speed up my PC. I've heard good stuff about corsair, but there are so many versions of the same ram that its confusing. I'm looking to spend around or under $50.

Corsair, Kingston, Mushkin, OCZ. I've used all of them and had no problems.

I also hear GeIL is good, but never tried em.

I've had zero problems since I went with Corsair XMS. A good way to tell what would work best is to go to Corsair's web site or any other memory manufacturer. They should have some sort of tool available where you can search by motherboard or PC make and model to see what memory works best with your PC.

:werd:

I have been using GeIL for the past 3 years with no problems.

Fast, reliable, RAM...very well priced.

I am currently running a gig of GeIL Ultra DRR 5000 (PC4000) @ 269 FSB at 2.5-4-4-7.

for $140 bucks, you can't beat it.

Is it a bad idea to use different brands? I have 2 512 Kingston sticks in my PC and was wondering if adding another 1gb of another brand would have any adverse effects on my PC.
