Most of us have been there man.

I know you think "your" relationship was different, and we couldn't possibly understand what your going thru.

Let me say this, in 2-5 yrs you will look back at this asking yourself why you were so upset, and you'll understand why it happened. You'll most likely experience breakups a few more times in life too so be ready.

I remember breaking up with my first serious GF at the age of 19. We dated 2 yrs. I thought it was the end of the world. Now I realize that is was best for both of us, and I'm glad it happened. I've dated a lot of women since her, and for the most part each one was better than the one before (except for 1).

Keep yourself busy with friends and family, and before you know it you'll be with the next gf wondering what your were thinking.

 

for your age, 8 months is a fair amount of time to date someone..usually after the 1st 6 months the newness wears off. not that this is a bad thing.. im glad u both had a good relationship..u can build on it with future girls..its pretty normal to want to be free in your senior yr of highschool. alot of changes occur, her behavior is pretty typical..give her some space, chill and see what comes your way.. u may have a new girl by the sr.prom.

 

I agree with all the major points above. You are young. Sure you may "love her" but relationships at your age very rarely go the distance. Go out and meet some new chicks. I wouldn't stay hung up on her. Sure be her friend and maybe you can get back together at a later point of be fuck buddies for a while. Chances are she did find someone else, probably an asshole. Girls of that age usually go for assholes, especially after they had a nice guy. It's par for the course.
