is there a wall on the opposite side of the pic (like behind the camera man?)
if so, run them both along the wall, under the edge of the carpet. the edge will pull up pretty easy and you can lay them under there all the way around.

I've tested those speakers myself and while they might not as good as a $2k+ speakers, they are perfectly fine. I rank them higher than most stuff CC/Bestbuy sells.

instead of running it right down the center of the room, get some white speaker wire and run it along the base of a wall. You might have enough room to tuck the wire under area where the baseboard meets the carpet.
