of course, if you people had read the article.... :af:
Makes no difference because they are trying to justify the number of deaths by saying that it is "only" 2000 deaths. Regardless of the comparison to the number of deaths that would have been had under the old technology the point stands that this war is baseless and 1 death is too many under the "reasonings" that we went to war with Iraq instead of spending all our fucking energy hunting down Osama, capturing him, and bringing him to justice.

If these lives were lost in that search I could just about agree that the loss of 2000 men in the search for a man who has probably been responsible for thousands more in terroristic attacks was justifiable.

But that isn't the case W had a plan to finish daddys war and nothing was going to stop him from getting into the middle east to make it happen. Don't try to justify this fucktards actions in saying these men are valiant etc. Yes they are doing their job but the asshole in office is putting them in jeapordy needlessly.

ive never understood the death arguement. these soldiers chose to go to war knowing full well they could be deployed at any time and suffer the casualties of war. obviously, the war isn't their fault but they, themselves, chose to be there.

Yes and no

They did sign up to do their duty and knew they could be deployed at any moment.

They also signed up under the belief that they would not be laced in harms way on a whim or for a purpose other than defense of their country.

What these men and women are dying for now is nothing less than an invasion and a personal vendetta. This is what makes it wrong, plain and simple. As I said before if these men and women were dying in the hunt for Osama I could just understand them being put into this position, instead they are in harms way for some sidebar distraction that has worked just wonderfully because the press and the people have all but forgotten about him.

Remember 9/11 my fucking ass...everytime someone proclaims this war on Iraq to be a good thing and fails to mention the hunt for Osama they cheapen those 3,000 + lives lost in the WTC attacks that day.

Don't forget that we first got into Viet Nam in 1954 when the French got their asses kicked royally at Dien Ben Phu. 1954 is when our first "advisors" went in country. So our 50000 lives lost in a senseless war amounted to an average of just under 2400 per year, but in the initial years there were considerably less. Hopefully this senseless war won't drag on for 21 years.
