Default Awesome FREE utility to remote into your home PC from anywhere.

https://secure.logmein.com/go.asp?page=products_free

This web based utility is the sh1t for remoting your home or any other PC. You don't have to open any ports on your router and its cake to use. Just thought I'd share for anyone interested.

Sorry. I gave you the link for Pro. Try it again. It's totally free, not a trial. And much better than remote desktop IMO.

What happens if you don't have your laptop with you or are no where near a machine with XP? You can just jump on any computer you see with an internet connection, visit logmein.com and open your account, connect to your PC from any browser. Much more convenient and you don't have to worry about opening ports.

Oh, now I got ya. It's an online service. I didn't really look. That's awesome.

Hell yea. My coworkers have been using it for some time and I recently tried it, best thing out there for sure.

It's good too if you need to constantly help your friends/family with their machine and they live elsewhere. Just install the client on their machine and add their PC to your account online.

I should try this out. I've been using winVNC though, same concept, remoteconnect and control everything as if you're on your PC.
