I don't know how they got a hold of it, but I found out that there were unauthorized purchases made with my CC. Almost 400 bucks worth. I've called my CC company and told them to shut down the account. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Uhh...did you dispute the charges? You should be asking a rep for the bank as to what to do next.

I just periodically check my CC statements and just happen to notice that my available credit was reduced and I haven't used the card for almost a week.

Get Identity Theft coverage added to your home or renters insurance policy-which in the future will help you reverse the effects of stolen credit. It is very inexpensive.

Well, the guy that I spoke to that closed my account said there were two other purchases made after the last one I was aware of (which were made yesterday) and I told them that I didn't make them. I think they're sending me some forms to officially dispute the charges.

Well, I do have Identity theft coverage, but it's on a different card. Would this apply even though it's on a different account?
