Meet your next James Bond
Well that picture Chris posted is pretty bad.
In the Casino Royale book (the first Bond novel) a character describes Bond, who was then aged in his thirties, as looking like American singer Hoagy Carmichael. This Hoagy on the left, Craig on the right:

I kinda see it. :dunno:

I do find the Moore movies entertaining, but that's also when the franchise hit the height of its cheezyness. All but the first couple Connery movies were kinda cheezy too, but the Moore ones went too far over the top.
Personally I like the Dalton movies a bunch but they don't quite have modern production values. The Brosnan ones are okay but I'd say Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies are the better two of his run. The World Is Not Enough is just kinda lame and Die Another Day was way too over the top with the CGI and wannabe stylish editing and directing techniques.
I really want to see Casino Royale be a smarter, tougher Bond without so many cheezy gimmicks and huge set pieces. And since Q and his gadgets aren't in the book that should hopefully be the case.
